Ringtail Ranch Lemur Rescue is a USDA-licensed 501(c)(3) nonprofit wildlife sanctuary and educational center dedicated primarily to lemurs, one of the most endangered groups of animals on Earth. Located outside of McGregor, Texas, the sanctuary provides lifelong care to captive-bred lemurs that have been surrendered, neglected, abused, or displaced through the exotic pet trade.

When you buy a hat or t-shirt from the Ringtail Ranch Lemur Rescue campaign, 100% of the profits go directly to the rescue. From the overall price, we subtract the cost of the product, shipping (which is included) and fulfillment costs. The remaining amount (100% of it) goes directly to the non-profit.

FAQs

What is the Animal People Program?

Each month, we partner with a non-profit animal rescue and create a featured collection to support its work. At the end of the campaign, we donate 100% of the profits from that collection directly to the rescue. The program raises money while introducing more people to the incredible individuals dedicating their lives to helping animals.

When will I receive my items?

Once the campaign has ended, the items will be ordered. Producing the collection this way allows us to raise as much money as possible for each rescue without limiting the number of items available. We will send you updates throughout the production process, including an estimated delivery date. Once your order ships, you will receive an email with tracking information.

What happens if I order additional items, outside the Animal People Program collection?

Any in-stock items outside the Animal People Program collection will be shipped right away. We will split your order so you do not have to wait for those items while the featured collection is being produced.

How much of my purchase goes to the rescue?

We determine the exact donation amount for each product before the campaign begins. That amount is clearly displayed beside every item on the campaign page, so you will know exactly how much your purchase generates for the rescue.

What does “100% of the profits” mean?

Profit is the amount remaining after the direct costs associated with producing and selling the product have been covered. Every dollar of profit generated by the featured collection is donated to that month’s rescue.

Can I see how much the campaign has raised?

Yes. The campaign page displays the campaign’s progress and shows exactly how much the collection has generated for the rescue. At the conclusion of the campaign, the final amount is sent directly to the organization.

How do you choose the rescues?

We look for nonprofit organizations doing meaningful, hands-on work that directly benefits animals. Our goal is to introduce our community to rescues and dedicated individuals for whom the exposure and donation can make a noticeable impact.

Are the rescues verified?

Yes. Before an organization is featured, it undergoes a vetting process so we can learn about its work, the animals it helps, and how the donated funds may be used.

How will the donated money be used?

The rescue determines how the donation can best support its work. We trust each organization to direct the funds where they are needed most, whether that means veterinary care, food, shelter, transportation, staffing, facility improvements, or other essential expenses.

How long does each campaign last?

Each rescue is featured for one calendar month. The campaign page displays the applicable dates and provides updates on the campaign’s progress.

Can I donate without purchasing anything?

You may contact the featured nonprofit directly to make a separate donation. The Animal People Program itself is structured to generate donations through purchases from the featured collection.

Can I purchase something after the campaign ends?

The products are only guaranteed to be available during the designated campaign period will contribute to that rescue. The campaign dates will be clearly displayed on the campaign page.

Do discounts apply to Animal People Program products?

No. Discounts and promotional codes cannot be applied to products in an Animal People Program collection. This allows us to preserve the predetermined donation amount associated with each item.

What happens if I need to return an item?

Because these products are created specifically to raise money for the featured rescue, we cannot accept returns or exchanges on Animal People Program items.
 

However, if you receive an incorrect or damaged item, please contact us and we will make it right.

When does the rescue receive the money?

The final donation is made within 15 days after the campaign concludes and the accounting has been completed.


The final donation amount will be displayed on the campaign page and will remain available in our campaign archives.

Can a rescue apply to be featured?

Yes. Rescues interested in being considered can email us with information about their organization, the animals they help, and how the funds would support their work.

If I purchase other items in the same order, do those purchases also support the featured rescue?

Only purchases from the featured Animal People Program collection contribute to the campaign. This allows us to track every qualifying sale and clearly communicate exactly how much money is being donated.

Why did LMPRY create this program?

Plenty of companies give back by donating a small percentage of their overall sales, and we think that is great.


We wanted to create a program that could bring significant attention to deserving nonprofits while generating a substantial donation within a short period of time. We also wanted customers to know exactly which organization they are helping and how much their purchase contributes.

How else can I help?

Purchasing something is wonderful, but it is not the only way to help. You can share the campaign, follow the rescue, and tell other people about its work.


We also encourage everyone to help animals however they can, whether that means volunteering, fostering, adopting, donating, or stepping in when an animal needs assistance.
 

Sometimes, simply helping the right people get noticed can make an enormous difference.
